At one point, she said the two of them were waiting until 2 a.m. Robert and her daughter, Veronica, were by her side the entire time. Sullivan’s husband Robert had been asleep inside the house, but awoke to Furtado’s calls for help. “Caryn was unresponsive, and her eyes kept rolling to the back of her head,” Furtado said, “I felt like I was going to lose her.” She noticed Sullivan’s blood was congealing and estimated she had been lying outside for about 15 to 20 minutes. “I was laying there and saw a lot of white clouds.”įurtado has previous medical knowledge from her time training as an Emergency Medical Technician, but had failed the National Registry test. “I just remember laying on my driveway thinking ‘This is pretty much over,’ ” Sullivan recalled. I think I read in the OWC blurb (it's at work), that you maybe slow to FW400 speed if you do that. Does this mean I could daisy-chain another, as a way of adding a third drive, as 3rd Mac already has a a FW800 in place, so no spare ports? Just thinking ahead to adding a 3rd, configured differently. Have to agree with the Scott Rose blog, cited above.Retrospect 8, go take a running jump. Very configurable, and great bang-for-buck. Shall be adding an OWC 1TB Monday to another Mac, so will have 2 destinations, for redundancy. Happy to report that, after some 'familiarisation', :cheesy. They have good email/help response, as well. Here's an overview, as well as a 'how to', for ChronoSync. I'll know in an hour when I get in whether run #1 worked. Mercury Pro FW800 drive from OWC yesterday, so will have 2 Containers running to 2 drives. Very user-friendly and I'm fairly inexperienced in this stuff. At $40, + $10 per Agent, with no further upgrade charges, it's still 'poor man's backup'. When you set it to 'Mirror', it will delete Trashed files on both Source and Destination. You just set up source-to-destination folder paths, then bundle them into 'Containers', which is what you are scheduling. What I like about CS, so far, is that although they have 'reference' files, the backup data itself is as you would see it on your usual drive, rather than proprietary files which have to be 'Restored', as with Retrospect. I only just got to set up 1st ChronoSync backup last night, after setting up ChronoAgents, and setting schedule. All old jobs have been dragged over (un-DVD'd ones, that is), from G5s, and are included in current backup. I'm not concerned about continuity from my Retro 6 archive, as I consider it flaky, at best. So am really just looking at current jobs and system backup. I try and archive jobs to DVD fairly quickly. My sophistication level on backup is, well, neophyte. Quote from: Slappy on November 23, 2010, 10:05:49 AMSo, if you're moving away from Retrospect, is it even possible to migrate those archived sets to another system? Or, are you forced to keep one legacy machines around (and all of the corresponding media) to retrieve jobs locked into Retrospect? Or use remote desktop to search from the Windows server. We have to go to the Windows server and do the search. It's not available over the network though. We already have Veritas Backup though and they catalog the archive when it does it. That's exactly what we are going to do when we finish our last box of tapes that we already have. "Hey Mike, Pop Drive 2007_002_A into the toaster, I need to get some files." Last part of the puzzle that I'm just starting to look at is to get a system in place that lets me capture a directory of the drive contents - that is available for searching over the network. (Sony discontinued AIT development, so AIT is now a dying technology. Quote from: mwc on November 12, 2010, 10:43:05 AMI'm looking to get a drive toaster (i.e like the VoyagerQ from ) - then getting a few 2TB bare drives to use with it.then using Chronosync to set up a dual backup - requires me to swap drives every day or so to keep a backup of the backup.but that is what I'm thinking will work for us, as the days of tape archives seems about over for us. Repeat until the surface scratch is gone. Method 1: Applying toothpaste to scuff marks It's better for your wallet and for your vehicle that you don't repair major scratches at home. The deeper or longer the scratch gets, the more likely you need a professional. You can fix most simple scratches by yourself. Repair costs can reach upwards of $7,500 after parts and labor. Deep Paint Scratch- A deep paint scratch can cost up to $2,500 depending on your car's age.ĭepending on how many scratches you have on your car and their severity, your full repair cost can vary.Primer Scratch- These scratches can cost between $500- $1000 per scratch.Scuff or Clear Coat Scratch- These superficial scratches can cost as little as $150 up to $300 after paint and labor. When you're looking for a professional repair here are the prices per scratch: The deeper your scratch, the more time and materials it takes to repair it. The cost of repairs depends on the severity of your scratch. These scratches usually occur in car wrecks or other hard collisions. Unlike the other two types of scratches, every layer of paint will need repairing. These scratches expose the metal of the car. Deep Paint Scratchesĭeep paint scratches are the deepest and most expensive scratch. Car accidents and tree branches commonly cause these scratches. These are more costly than a scuff with the extra layers that need to be repaired. Primer scratches are scratches that reach the paint layer or the primer layer but don't expose the metal. Rocks and other debris kicked up from the road are a large cause of these. The difference between a clear cost scratch and a scuff is a scuff isn't as long as a clear coat scratch. They are simple to repair since it only requires one layer to be fixed. Scuffs & clear coat scratches stay on the top layer of paint. A simple buff out is much cheaper than Bondo and a paint job. The deeper a scratch, the more it's going to cost to fix it. The types are defined by the depth that they go into your vehicle's paint. If your car gets a scratch, it can be one of 3 types. Your vehicle faces many hazards every day. Scratches on a car can come from anywhere. Identifying the different types of car scratches The average cost of a full car scratch repair is around $3,500. A surface scratch can cost you as little as $150, but a deep paint scratch can cost upwards of $2,500. The cost to repair the scratches on your vehicle depends on how numerous and deep they are. Satu is disgusted by this, telling the room that no witch would afflict that kind of powerlessness on another creature. When Domenico asks if Jack has been dealt with, Baldwin tells him of Diana’s promise to spellbind him if he becomes a problem. Gerbert is angry when he learns that Baldwin has now chosen to recognize Matthew’s scion. The Congregation holds a meeting to discuss the fact that Matthew and Diana have broken the covenant. The Congregation meets to discuss the twins As such, Matthew is now responsible for everyone he has sired and everyone they have sired … Benjamin included. Baldwin relents and agrees to her terms, announcing that he now recognizes their scion. If the spellbinding fails, they will submit to the Congregation. She swears to Baldwin that if any members of the scion act on their blood rage, she will spellbind them. Neither Matthew nor Baldwin will stand down, so they begin to fight, but Diana eventually breaks it up with a terrifying show of her power. Matthew states that Baldwin wouldn’t be required to do this as the head of the de Clermont family if he would just recognize their scion. He offers his congratulations and then states that the children must be brought to Venice for assessment, because the Congregation needs to know what they are. The peace in the room is then broken when Baldwin finally arrives. Sarah then announces the children’s full names for the very first time - Rebecca Arielle Emily Marthe and Philip Michael Addison Sorley. When the priest asks who will stand as godparents for the children, Fernando, Sarah, Phoebe, Marcus, Ysabeau, Jack, Miriam, Chris, and Hamish all come up to stand with Matthew and Diana. Her only regret is that Philippe isn’t there with them (and it’s bittersweet knowing that she missed the wedding, and now he’s missing the christening). Ysabeau heads upstairs to talk to Diana and Matthew before they head to the chapel, and they share a heartfelt moment as she says how remarkable it is that she - a vampire - has now come to think of Diana - a witch - as a daughter. Fernando tells Sarah that he declined his invitation. One familiar face is missing though: Gallowglass. Benjamin sets his plans into motionįriends, family, and supporters arrive at Sept-Tours for the christening, including some of Marcus’ children from New Orleans. Matthew says that it’s not that simple, but his witch DNA does seem to be dominant. Jack tells him that he can hear the baby’s blood singing, and he asks if he’s a witch. Diana feels confident that they can handle whatever happens, and Matthew eventually calms down.Īfterward, Matthew finds Jack rocking Philip back to sleep. The two begin to argue over the dangerous logistics of raising vampire children that may be afflicted with blood rage. Matthew smells the blood and races across the house he’s not happy at what Diana has chosen to do. Marthe tells her that it may not be milk and she needs, so Diana feeds her blood from her own hand instead, which seems to do the trick. Whenever she drinks milk, it just comes back up again. It’s difficult for Sarah to be back there, though, and she brings flowers to the site where Em died.ĭiana is up late in the evening with Rebecca, and she tells Marthe that she’s always hungry. Return to Sept-ToursĮveryone returns to Sept-Tours in anticipation of Rebecca and Philip’s christening, and Ysabeau is pleased to finally meet all of her grandchildren, including Jack. Meanwhile, Benjamin begins to set his twisted plans into motion, and the Knights of Lazarus gain a few new members. It’s nearly a devastating affair when Baldwin arrives, but following a promise from Diana to keep those with blood rage in line, he finally acknowledges Matthew’s scion. In this week’s episode of A Discovery of Witches, we return to Sept-Tours for the christening of Rebecca and Philip.
Used 75# for two sets of deadlifts and 95# for the other three. My back turned out to be fine for this and I didn’t have any issues with my calf. Should have easily beaten it, but not bad for zero snatches in weeks. My score was only 5 reps shy of what I did in the 2016 Open. Quick drop, get back up, and knocked out the other two. Since I was focusing so much on my grip, I didn’t get enough kip and failed after my first MU in the 6th round. Was really wasting way too much time messing with the grips in this workout. I started out not using the finger holes due to the snatches and later went back and forth between using them and not between the two movements. These really are grippy and I didn’t even use any chalk on them! Had magic tape around the base of my thumbs, but forgot to put some regular tap around my thumb nails, which sometimes split on the edge when doing bar muscle-ups. I ordered an XL this time around too, so there was more material to fold over for pull-ups and T2B. I got some of the new Bear KompleX Black Diamond grips and tried them out for this workout. Not sure if it was from golfing or the bench press. Woke up with my low back feeling a little tight. I did all sets of 30 for the flutter kicks with short rests and did not do them in the hollow hold position. I always screw up my counting with the TGU by not remembering if I should count at the top or bottom of the rep, when I should clearly wait until I complete the entire rep to count it. I’m pretty sure I did another get-up in some of my rounds. In the third I moved quick on my get-ups. In the second workout I scaled down from American swings and went unbroken. I tried to row around 1,200 cal/hr the entire way. Allowed me to stay unbroken and finish in 7:58. I scaled down the dumbbells from 35# and it was a good choice with my back. Another 100% day on my WHOOP sleep score. My back was a little tight this morning, but much better than the previous two days and it didn’t bother me much in bed. The treasure hunting Diggers whisper myths of a tremendous Mother Lode, a hoard that could forever solve their world’s energy crisis, but the narrator questions the integrity of these explorers. Emerging civilization depends on their efforts. Diggers are the explorer class who delve into the ancient ruins beneath the ocean in search of crystalline quantum refractors, the energy source of all modern technology. Legends meant to whisk him away from Wily and the Robot Masters in 20XX and 2D platforming to a different realm altogether.ĭemonstrative of its distinct dedication to storytelling compared to its predecessors, Legends begins with a text crawl and narration welcoming the player to this bright dystopia. Mega Man Legends aimed to not only break the irresistible mold (alternatively the irresistible “rut”) that Mega Man games had fallen into, but this new adventure was a chance to redesign everything about Mega Man’s world. Rock must brave the tumultuous waters of clunky, unsure game design other franchises were facing and exemplify the steadfastness of his namesake. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Blue Bomber since the original Mega Manin 1987, Capcom decided to was time to beckon the hero from two dimensions to three. Yet out of that primordial ooze of the mid-90s, a “legend” appeared. There were of course those shining super stars that went on to influence generations and others which bided their time and skipped out on 3D’s formative years (see Metroid Prime), but as is the case with many subjects in gaming, these were the exception. Those that did metamorphose found themselves in the company of drab textures, terrible camera controls, and an overall sense of the primitive. Many of them didn’t make that leap at all, choosing perhaps to play it safe or merely falling into the obscurity of history. We posited that it was tough for many franchises to make the jump into 3D and find translated success there. …we considered a few things about the nature of early 3D games. “Kindness and good nature unite men more effectually and with greater strength than any agreements whatsoever, since thereby the engagements of men’s hearts become stronger than the bond and obligation of words.” |
